NVC 2 Spring In-Person Workshop - A Weekend, Saturday & Sunday, Apr 13-14, 2024 (back to Workshop Overview)

Rate Tiers Explained

This training is run at a standard cost of $400.

We are committed to dissolving any barriers you may have in joining this training, while also holding our needs for sustainability.

Please use our rate assessing tool, adopted from Alexis J. Cunningfolk’s The Sliding Scale: A Tool of Economic Justice, to find the correct rate for your circumstances. In using this tool we hope to further address the intersectional and systemic inequalities experienced within our community.

There’s a few sentences under each rate that explain a person's current financial circumstances. If you fit the majority of statements within a tier then that’s the tier for you.

Some terms used below:

* Basic Needs include food, housing, health care, and transportation.
** Expendable Income might mean you are able to buy coffee or tea at a shop, go to the
movies or a concert, buy new clothes, books, and similar items each month, etc.
