Each workshop will allow for personal reflection, experiential learning, and interactive practice. Our work is rooted in Nonviolent Communication, and these offerings will give you a glimpse of the model in action. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to consider how you might apply the skills learned.

Befriending Our Emotions

We have an emotional center in our brain for good reasons! Nonetheless, many of us spend time trying to push certain emotions away, or letting our emotions dictate our responses.
In this workshop, we’ll expand our capacity to slow down, identify our emotions, and explore their value! Through interactive exercises and embodied activities, you’ll learn techniques for tolerating and bringing curiosity to difficult emotions, so that they can become the empowering information they are meant to be.

For Parents of Teens: Agreement-Building

Getting into power struggles with teenage children is easy, but generally counterproductive. This workshop will offer you an idea of a more generative way to collaborate with your teen as they seek more control over their time and their activities - and build trust in the meantime!
This workshop is for you if you’ve been wondering: how do I support my teen to increase their independence while still keeping them safe, and without pushing aside my own needs or the needs of other family members? We will explore how to empower both ourselves and teenage children through the art of agreement-building.

Living from Our Values
